eLearning Innovations and Partnerships in
Science and Engineering (eLIPSE)

The molecular structure simulation is part of the University of Colorado PhET project which provides open-source interactive, research-based simulations to help students engage in science and mathematics through inquiry.

At UQ, it formed part of a project, Online, virtual and adaptive learning environments: improving the journey through large first year chemistry courses, designed to introduce new learning activities that both improved student access to resources and achieved improved curricular progressions through courses.  This component of the project involved the delivery of interactive, self-contained, online learning modules which would complement or substitute for existing lecture activities.
